Nondestructive testing is the assessment of internal material defects, structural flaws in components, and variations in physical properties and composition—without causing damage to or altering the original condition and performance of the raw materials or workpieces. Currently, nondestructive testing technologies using flaw detectors are primarily employed for in-process inspection during product manufacturing and for final-product inspection. For airlines, nondestructive testing has become an increasingly critical tool for detecting structural damage in aircraft, and as such, it is receiving growing attention from the aviation industry.

On October 11, Luoyang Weicheng Engineering Testing Co., Ltd. held a large-scale training and competition—specifically, a γ-ray radiographic inspection radiation emergency response drill—under the theme “Everyone Talks About Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies.” The event invited leaders from the provincial, municipal, and district levels to attend and observe.
