Luoyang Weicheng Engineering Testing Co., Ltd. Launches the “i Science Popularization” Public Science Outreach Campaign in the Spirit of Lei Feng

To further carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng and promote the volunteer ethos of “dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress,” in accordance with the spirit of the Henan Provincial Association for Science and Technology’s Notice on Launching a Centralized “i-Science Popularization” Science and Technology Volunteer Service Campaign in the Spirit of Lei Feng, Luoyang Weicheng Engineering Testing Co., Ltd. has enthusiastically responded to the call and organized a science outreach event on the safe operation of forklifts.
On March 4, our company meticulously organized and conducted an emergency response drill for forklift accidents involving special equipment, inviting several neighboring companies that use forklifts to observe the exercise. The purpose of this drill was to simulate a real-world scenario in which an unexpected incident occurs during the handling of goods with a forklift, resulting in injuries or fatalities, thereby reinforcing employees’ understanding of and proficiency in emergency response procedures.
In this public science outreach initiative, Luoyang Weicheng vividly and intuitively demonstrated the severe consequences that can result from improper forklift operation in the workplace by creating simulated accident scenarios. This approach not only captures attention and sparks interest but also enables participants to gain a firsthand understanding of the importance of adhering to operating procedures and using forklifts correctly. In addition, the demonstration covered emergency response protocols following an accident, including how to swiftly activate the emergency plan, secure the scene, provide first aid to injured personnel, and report the incident—thereby enhancing employees’ ability to respond effectively to safety emergencies. Such measures ensure that, in real-world situations, casualties and property damage can be minimized, thus safeguarding the safe and stable operation of production activities.
As a type of special equipment, forklifts are highly prone to safety accidents that endanger human life due to unsafe operator behavior or unsafe conditions of the equipment, turning what should be a logistics tool into a “major hazard vehicle.” It is imperative to eliminate safety hazards and eradicate complacency regarding safety awareness. We urge everyone to take this as a warning, learn from these lessons, and prevent forklift accidents from occurring!

On October 11, Luoyang Weicheng Engineering Testing Co., Ltd. held a large-scale training and competition—specifically, a γ-ray radiographic inspection radiation emergency response drill—under the theme “Everyone Talks About Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies.” The event invited leaders from the provincial, municipal, and district levels to attend and observe. Prior to the start of the emergency response drill, Cui Songbiao, General Manager of Luoyang Weicheng Engineering Testing Co., Ltd., and Gong Aifeng, Deputy General Manager, extended a warm welcome to the visiting provincial, municipal, and district leaders and pledged that Weicheng Testing would consistently focus on enhancing its professional technical expertise and emergency response capabilities as key drivers for corporate safety management.
