A high-tech enterprise refers to an entity that achieves development in new fields through science, technology, or scientific innovation, or that innovates its operations within existing fields. Based on the definition of the scope of high-tech industries, the concept of a high-tech enterprise can be delineated in accordance with the “Administrative Measures for the Recognition of High-Tech Enterprises,” as revised and promulgated by the State in 2016. Accordingly, in China, a high-tech enterprise generally denotes a resident enterprise that, within the “nationally supported high-tech fields” designated by the State, continuously conducts research and development and translates technological achievements into practical applications, thereby establishing core independent intellectual property rights and basing its business activities on such rights; it is a knowledge-intensive and technology-intensive economic entity.

In recent years, the company has intensified its efforts in research and development of scientific and technological achievements and in the commercialization of these innovations, gradually establishing a core portfolio of proprietary intellectual property rights. This has laid a solid foundation for the successful designation of the company as a national-level high-tech enterprise.
