Long-distance transmission pipelines are pipelines used for the long-distance conveyance of water, gas (steam), oil, or other media. They are characterized by large throughput, large pipe diameters, high operating pressures, high material grades, thick wall thicknesses, and stringent manufacturing requirements. Along the routes of such pipelines, there are often residential buildings, schools, factories, farmland, and other structures; this close proximity inherently poses significant safety risks. The primary inspection methods for long-distance transmission pipelines are radiographic testing and ultrasonic testing. Given the extensive length and wide coverage of these pipelines, with numerous inspection points, such inspections place high demands on the coordination capabilities of inspection companies in terms of equipment, vehicles, and personnel.
