TOFD

TOFD technology (Time of Flight Diffraction Technique) is a technology based on diffraction signals to implement detection, that is, time-of-flight ultrasonic detection technology. Compared with traditional pulse echo technology, TOFD technology has the following obvious advantages:

1. More precise size measurement accuracy, and the defect detection rate during inspection is almost independent of the angle of the defect, the defect detection rate is higher, and the quantitative accuracy is high;

2. Have a clear and reliable TOFD scan image. Compared with the A-type scan signal, the TOFD scan image is more conducive to the identification and analysis of defects;

3. In addition to being used for routine inspections, it can also be used to monitor changes in defects, especially for the high accuracy of crack height measurement.
